David Harris is the owner proprietor of David’s Meat Market. David started in the meat business in 1966 as an apprentice meat cutter and opened his first store in Dallas in 1979 with his wife Pat. They opened the store in Garland in 1982. His grandson Devon was raised in the store and now also works in the David’s Meat Market.
With pride and master craftsmanship the staff at David’s Meat Market assures the customer of the finest ingredients and cuts in Dallas. David has won numerous awards for his cuts and sausage. Those include the best rib eye in Dallas for the Dallas Observer, top butchers in Texas from Texas Monthly, and best sausages in Dallas from the Dallas Morning News. David's has won the "excellence in food sanitation award" for the last 13 years. This award is presented by the Garland Health Department to the food establishments that are in the top 5% of inspection scores. David is very proud of this award and he works very hard to maintain this standard of excellence.
